For free users who have created a mixture of personal projects and company projects using your work email account and then get invited to an official company account.
How to Transfer
- In the Project List page (the first page you see when you log in) hover the cursor over the project that needs to be transferred.
- The project will only be transferrable if it is a personal project (see gif below)
- If the project is transferrable, there will be a small icon on the Project card itself to the left of the "change thumbnail" icon. Click this and a confirmation message will display.
- Click Transfer
- For Company Owners - the next time you log in you will see this project appear in your list with the option to decline the transfer or accept. If you wish to accept the project and make it officially a company project within Modelo click Confirm.
Background Information: Often individual architects or designers start using Modelo as free tier users looking for a better way to present or share feedback on designs at their company. As they invite colleagues to the platform and usage begins to spread, eventually the decision is made to create a Studio or Enterprise account so the company can manage all of its projects and users.
At this point, the company administrator (the Owner user type) will invite all of the company users into the company's account and free users will become Studio/Enterprise users.
Free users that have converted to company accounts may end up with a mixture of personal projects and company projects in their accounts when joining the official company account. To solve this issue we've added functionality that will enable a free-to-enterprise user to transfer ownership of a project from their account to the company.
In order to make this transfer you must be either a current Studio or Enterprise user. You will only see the transfer project icon if you were previously a free user that had created projects prior to being invited to a company account.
